Biography: Elio Quiroga, born in Canarias, is also a film director, producer and screenwriter (he has directed feature films such as "Fotos" -winner of two awards in Sitges and Quentin Tarantino's favorite-, "La Hora Fría", "No-Do" - both nominated for Méliès de Plata-, and the documentary "The Mystery of the King of Kinema", having written the screenplay for "Absentes" by Daniel Calparsoro with Ray Loriga).

His animated short film "Home Delivery", adapting a story by Stephen King, presented by Guillermo del Toro and music by REM, won the Fantasporto Grand Prix and participated in the official competitive sections of a hundred festivals. Her next animated short, "My Name Is Maria", was chosen on the Short List of 2011 Oscars. Also, his documentary short film "The Last Minute" was nominated for the Goya Awards.

"The Codices of the Apocalypse" is his second novel, having previously published "The Awakening" with Timun Mas, in addition to the historical essay (winner of the Accesit Prize Everis 2004 Essay) "The Matter of Dreams" with Editions Deusto. Quiroga received the New Canaries Scripture Award for the poetry "Attica".

His plastic work ranges from video creation, video installation to painting.
