Biography
Enzo is a Venezuelan painter born in 1963, his great promoter of art was his mother, a nurse of a hospital located in a north of Caracas; her admiration was such, that when her children were born, she called them: Miguel Angel and Leonardo; in honor of the great masters of art. when they were of school age it was usual for their mother to buy: art magazines, turpentine, oil tubes and canvases with prints of figures to be painted; with which very soon his house became a whole gallery of art with varied paintings: still life, landscapes and human figures; his paintings of faint colors and little shine, lacked any technique. On the initiative of his mother I have enrolled in the art school, Arturo Michelena of the city where they lived; but in both attempts, I was not admitted to the pre-selection tests. The following year and at 17 he left school and with the approval of his mother went to the capital in search of more opportunities; Already installed in the new city in 1981 they try to enter the art school Cristóbal Rojas, failing again in their attempt, this time for not having the required studies to enter. As the options to study Art had failed, I must must undertake the search for a survival job, which will not be long in coming and will become an employee of The bank away from art, until 1994, when by chance, the owner of an Gallery of Art, I have offered him employment as manager of the gallery workshop, which meant his great step in the art world, the stay there was short because in 1995 I decided to establish his own art workshop in a small rented space. The initial paintings were more figurative, you could see elegant women and men in bars sharing at tea time; restaurants, awnings and hats adorned the atmosphere of their jobs very Parisian style influenced by the art magazines that his mother had bought him when I was little. In the summer of 1996 I was invited to participate in an art exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a public institution, with the exception of inviting another painter complete the exhibition with three paintings together with him; since he did not know more artists to invite, the three abstract paintings were painted by him and I have signed as Enzo The day of the event that I organized, the entire exhibition in the room, was a surprise since Miguel's paintings went unnoticed, while those signed as Enzo caught the eye of Visitors achieving the sale of two pieces exhibited. Since then, he is dedicated to Abstract Expressionism through Self-Learning, now his work has texture, elegance, while integrating recycling materials and bright colors that speak for themselves catching the viewer.
