Biography: Heinz Tittel, was born on August 21, 1935 in the German town of Lingen.
For more than 50 years he has lived in the town of Calella, in the Catalan Maresme, province of Barcelona.
He moved to live in Calella, when the German tourist boom invaded the Catalan coast, back in the 60s.
From 1964 to 1989 he ran the famous "St. Tropez Bar Restaurant", and it was there that he was inspired by painting.
Completely self-taught, he began to paint the posters inside his bar, continuing later until he took early retirement in 1989. His paintings in Calella are known by countless people, and there is practically no place where there is not a painting or a poster yours.
His paintings are characterized by being painted in shiny synthetic enamel from the TitanLux brand, and they always reproduce images captured in photographs or published in books.

Among his many works, the reproductions of his paintings dedicated to the American West stand out, reproduced from Frank C. McCarthy's picture book, The Western, and of which the Port Aventura Theme Park in Salou, Tarragona province, had a series reproduced exclusive of 12 of them in large size posters, and that are exposed and installed in the attraction where the legendary west is defined in the park.
Likewise, he carried out artistic works for the decoration of various bars in Barcelona, highlighting in the Sarriá neighborhood of Barcelona, the "Bar Innsbruck" where its interior was decorated with his paintings, and the "Bar Tirol" to which he made all the Interior signage with typical Austrian posters. Today these bars no longer exist.

At the Innsbruck Bar, he met the famous CF Barcelona soccer player, Lazzi Kubala, a real institution in those years, and asked him to paint a painting for him as a souvenir. Heinz Tittel reproduced from a black and white photo that appeared in a newspaper of the time, the volley shot in the air that Kubala made in the match played in the Campo de Sarriá between RCD Español and Barça, which was painted in color, to be delivered to Kubala and that today is exhibited in the CF Barcelona museum.

At present, at 85 years of age, he still develops an active pictorial activity today, and there is not a day that he does not stop using his brushes and his TitanLux paint to create a work that he is commissioned to do.
