Biography: Jack Silva García, architect by profession, graduate in graphic design and self-taught plastic artist.
It is frequent to find anthropomorphic characters in their works, these in turn are charged with tension between the pre-Hispanic and the new world, endowing their work with a certain character of Latin American identity and at the same time claiming the position of those conquered, these seem not to differ, as construction and coexistence, amid architectural forms, landscapes and colors conceptually united in a local syncretism.
And it is that the handling of all these elements and their adaptation to the space in each composition are vital for Jack Silva who, given his training as an architect, claims that the harmonious relationship of the forms and the mathematics implicit in them are essential to access a understanding of beauty that goes beyond the merely formal. This "universal" beauty with a rational basis is another of the themes that the artist is most passionate about.
Jack currently lives between Lima and Trujillo, two cities created in colonial times in Peru, exercising architecture and interior design, he is dedicated to the development of his other passions, teaching and the production of his plastic work.
