Ever since I remember, I have been fascinated by the human capacity to create and innovate. I see art as a way of perceiving and understanding life, whereby we can ask ourselves how things really are and how we can describe them. It is not only a question of drawing a picture, taking a photo or making a sculpture. One must observe instead of seeing; one must listen instead of hearing; one must feel instead of touching; one must smell instead of breathing; one must create instead of copying.
