My name is Carlos Dorian, painter and illustrator based in Madrid, Spain.
My passion for drawing and art comes from my earliest childhood memories. I would spend hours drawing and coloring, creating my own world on paper. I was fascinated by the endless possibilities and stories that a simple pencil and a piece of paper could offer me. My love for art only grew as I grew older, and I knew I wanted to turn my passion into my profession. I was very fortunate to win a major scholarship to the “Escuela de Grabado” (School of Engraving) at the “Real Casa de la Moneda (FNMT-RCM)” in Madrid, Spain, where I studied various techniques and styles for four years. I learned about drawing, painting, engraving, lithography, modeling… and how to use different mediums to express myself creatively. It was a challenging but rewarding experience as I constantly strived to improve and find my own voice as an artist. After completing my higher education at the School of Art, where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a specialization in Graphic Design, I began working as an independent artist and for 15 years I have been the Creative Director of my own Graphic Design Firm, something that has always influenced my work, incorporating geometric, graphic or typographic elements into it. Today, I am proud to say that I have become an accomplished artist, pursuing my lifelong dream of creating and sharing my vision with others. I am grateful for the journey I have been on, and I am excited to continue growing as an artist and exploring new avenues for my work. |
