This painting is the first of a series of works illustrated from the ancient tradition of "San Francisco de Yare" (capital of the Simón Bolívar municipality of Miranda State, in Venezuela), popularly known as Los Diablos Danzantes de Yare.
For this painting, Carthusian is inspired by the classic colors and features that can be found in these masks, such as: primary colors (and some of its derivatives), horns, large fangs and prominent eyes.
