“In Bocca al Lupo” Oil on canvas 46x38cm.
Today I present this small work that was born from an impressive photograph of my friend Yago de Miguel @giacphoto_01 and @giacphoto_02 (only on Instagram) As soon as I saw her he caught me and as usual in my way of painting chaotic and totally passionate, I had to make it mine by skipping any job entry order. It is an image with a load of brutal sensuality that does not leave indifferent, right? The only thing I regret is not having made the bigger picture because I love it!
However, Yago de Miguel is not a photographer who can be tagged. He is an eclectic artist who, like me, lets himself be moved and caught by things that at first glance would be disparate, but which are what build the people we are, creating freely and enjoying what we do. Yago not only makes sensual photography. Soon you can see "the fruit" of another crush that I felt for his work and that has little to do with it except for one thing: that arouses emotions.
I have already spoken more than once about the admiration I feel for photographers and I will not get tired of doing so. Without his work, it would be almost impossible that at least I could enjoy my hobby as I do. For me it is almost magic and I would need a thousand more lives to be able to paint all the images that make me fall in love!
"The power of imagination makes us infinite" John Muir
Now, a little extra information, which I know you like. This painting was baptized by Yago de Miguel, so I investigated a little more:
"It is curious that an expression that literally means" in the mouth of the wolf "wishes in Italian GOOD LUCK! Telling someone “in bocca al lupo” is one of the most beautiful expressions you can say. It is the wish that he be safe and protected, as the wolf cared for and nursed Romulus and Remus (Roman legend about the founders of the city of Rome) or how the wolf protects its pups by keeping them in its mouth.
"In the mouth of the wolf" or "Good Luck" ... either option is valid to accompany this painting, do not you think?
