On the picture: Life offers us thousands of roads and our choices are leading us towards new aspects. One of them, can be without a doubt the one to travel outside to study and / or work and above all to learn to live alone, far from the protection that our comfort zone provides (family, friends ...), with its joys and worries. When I found the photo on which I relied on this painting, I saw a young, independent, brave woman who savored her dreams and fears alone after having faced another day with the illusion of someone who knows that she is building her own adventure, and the satisfaction of having been able to face their fears, or simply a real life that pushes and squeezes you on public transport, that seems to want to freeze you an autumn afternoon that did not promise to be so cold in the morning, which squeezes your feet for a shoe as beautiful as uncomfortable, etc ... among other everyday situations. It seemed to me a private and intimate image, where the woman who looked in the defiant mirror and went out to eat the world with her red dress and her head high, after a long day, she picks up her hair, strips her feet so that they return to make contact with reality, and relaxes in his favorite corner by detaching himself from all his masks; Surely that place is what led her to choose that apartment and not another: with a bright balcony where you can take a break or just breathe while enjoying a fresh coffee, the memory of a day where she has given her best, and of his imagination, the only place where any dream can be fulfilled, and where the different paths are scenarios that he can recreate as many times as he wants. A corner where to dream

Automatically "she" moved to live in Boston, a city that I know and I think is the perfect enclave for both the story and my painting, and it may be that during that moment that I tried to reflect with my painting, I was thinking of a Platonic love that ...
