"Bare Chest" Pastel on Canson Black Paper 65x50cm Break my heart and you will find yourself inside

I have to thank my friend @marcoheemskerkfotografie for the transfer of his photo as well as his positive attitude and his words of encouragement and admiration. I needed them these days and it was worth doing this pause with pencils, leaving aside the rest of the oil works that I have ... more than ever!

I think I chose the least representative photo of Marco's immense art, because his eclecticism is not summed up in the image of a bare chest, far from it: let's just say that this is just the tip of the iceberg because he is able to find and capture beauty in any place and that characteristic, those of you who know me know that it reaches me deep and I need for a few hours at least, to try to represent what the photographer captured and that I find almost magical… Have I already said that I adore my photographer friends? Just as each painter has their own easily recognizable brushstroke, photographers have their "shot", and that makes their art unique.

And speaking of adoration: I visited my friend Antonio from @artisa_bellas_artes because he needed several little things and he told me that he had received some black and white bar cakes (four units in different hardnesses I think I remember for less than € 5). I can only tell you that they are wonderful, that they have saved me a lot of time and that white is very white and black is very black. It seems obvious, but for those of you who work with charcoal and pastel you already know how difficult it is!
