Beautiful foreshortening produced in a human figure session, the technique that was used is known as 3 chalks, a very popular technique among Renaissance artists who used it to capture as much information as possible in their studies. With this resource three tones are apparently used; Charcoal, blood and white chalk. however, more than three colors were used in the work to adjust the temperatures that the artist requires in his practice. The paper was previously toned in order to obtain a controlled half tone and enrich the drawing. It was done in a brief session using a model as a reference. Charcoal, blood, sepia and white chalk on toned paper.
