This archework belongs to BLAGUI collection Although the drawing at its inception was very modest, it depicted only a human sitting or leaning on the pupil of a large eye, holding a fishing rod. That was there. It looked like a desire to catch a prey, to go hunting. And to do it from where everything is seen. Mounted on the same surveillance that observes and attends.

Years later, the drawing becomes more complex. The rod goes down to a container where the prey is confined. It is not a sea and it is not a river, but rather a private circular space, formed by trees. A circular forest. Within the forest there is an abundance of food. Creatures that swim in a liquid. That is where the fishing rod is cast. Fishing is successful, it is a matter of time, it is assured.

This circular forest represents is nature conceived as a market closed on itself. Nature also looks like and recalls an eye, with powers of observation, however, being already a finite circle, if vision can only see itself.

The whole scene is part of an act of cooking. The elements described are inside a teapot. The events are taking place while the contents are boiling. The application of a fire will also initiate an alchemical transformation. The heat will make this ball of nature edible. And why not to say it, also consumable.

The fish seems only a source of food, but there is a second, deeper reading. The fisherman's bait is the seed with the sperm that tirelessly seeks to engender a new world. Those who are not fished, the unselected, the cunning and the survivors, will be able to travel to the heart, to the nucleus to fertilize the fiery egg, already in the metal womb. From this upheaval arises the greatest innovation and from here a future as luminous as it is uncertain.
