Efren Melchor
(San Tomé, Estado Anzoátegui, 1963) discovered his vocation as a painter from an early age. He was twelve years old when, in his natal year, he had the need to capture nearby, nearby landscapes. This need was enriched, during studies, for five consecutive years, in the Painting Workshop of his city, where he made the first exhibitions, within those years of training that exalted qualities and recondite skills, for which he was awarded, on several occasions Then it was the formative years, within the Degree in Plastic Arts, at the Central University of Venezuela (1988-1993), to study Graphic Design, applied to the arts, in the Dominican Republic (1996-1997) and in Mexico, again around painting and drawing. He has participated in the Caracas Municipal Hall, national halls of Aragua, Puerto La Cruz and Michelena, Metro de Caracas, Salvador Valero Biennial, as well as in Miranda, Carabobo, Monagas, Trujillo, among others. The meaning of their participation has been didactic, rather: see to educate in art, to observe organic wealth, to sink and show the microcosm, urbanism, life as when participating in a mural experience in the Guanipa Road Museum ( 1991). In short, Efrén Melchor gives us a virtual vision of a micro and macro world at the same time, from color and nature as universal elements. |
