Gaby Suárez (Gabstoc) was born in Uruapan, Michoacán and from an early age showed artistic sensitivity and a very active mind.
From 1998 began his training with the acquisition of bases on professional drawing, through the development of animation 3D, artistic photography, video editing and audiovisual production in prestigious institutions such as Alkimia, UNLA, UMSNH and UDG. With an important collaboration in multidisciplinary movements from the 2003 such as: - Installation for the International Women's Day in the Historic Center of Morelia. - Art design of the short film "El Mito" by Héctor Jacobo. - Executive Producer and Claquetista in the feature film "La Dama que Llora" by director Arturo Villaseñor. - Direction, script, production and photography of the short films "Readmind" and "Al Final de la Mecha". - Cameraman in the short film "De la Noche Tuerta" under the direction of Edna González. - Continuista in the short film "El país de la Esperanza" under the direction of Ramón Montaño. - Direction, script, production and photography of the short film "Sheena". - Executive producer of the program "Televisive Production Node" of the UMSNH - Production, direction and animation of the short film "Terapia". - Photography assistant director Gastón Hurtado in the film project "Morelia in the Origins of Cinema", under the General Management of Javier Morett. - Operator in the cabin during the broadcast of the online radio station "El Tímpano". - Announcer during the program "Discography of Punk" through "El Tímpano". - Direction, script and production of the didactic video "Animation as a resource to create skills" with the support of IMJU. - Audiovisual production of the theater performance Made in Mexico under the direction of Jorge Gutiérrez. - Participation in the photo exhibition "Tolerancia y Ya" under the direction of Guillermo Wusterhaus. - Audiovisual operator in the staging "Made in Mexico", under the direction of Jorge Gutiérrez. - Director of photography in the short film "El watchmaker", under the direction of Yadira Arellano. - Director of photography and animator in the short film "Ni muy muy, ni tan tan" made with the stopmotion technique, under the direction of Yadira Arellano. Gabstoc is cataloged as an artist who takes socio-cultural movements as his main source of inspiration, his creations combine new and established artistic elements. Taking advantage of his critical sense to transfer characters, places, metaphors and iconic scenes to his canvases full of expressiveness, he traces definitively and with bright colors that which replicates the digital detail. Today, its mission is to share a sociocritical message of the classic and the contemporary to the different cultural strata of Mexico and the world through plastic and audiovisual production. |
