I started painting as a child, learning how to use brushes from my father. At the age of 15, I won my first prize for painting at the XXII Getafe art exhibition.
In my university stage I work as a cartoonist of graphic jokes for some publications at a local and national level. In 1983 I graduated in Veterinary Medicine, a profession to which I have dedicated 35 years, during which I barely had time for art. Between 2004 and 2007, I completed my artistic training at the "Taller del Prado" center in Madrid, where I learned new techniques and styles. In 2019 I decided to leave the clinical activity and from now on I dedicate myself exclusively to painting. Exhibitions and awards: - Second prize for drawing at the XXII Getafe art exhibition. - Selected in the Plastic Arts Contest "Landscape with figure" organized by the district council of Arganzuela (Madrid) and the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors in March 2006. - 5th prize in the XVIII painting contest "Carmen Olgueras" -Collective exhibition at the Integrated Endowment Center of the district of Arganzuela from March 15 to 30, 2006. -Collective exhibition at the Puerta de Toledo Cultural Center (Madrid) from June 5 to 14, 2006. -Selected in the XII painting contest of Villamayor de Santiago. -Selected in the XLIV Contest of Plastic Arts San Isidro de Madrid -Collective exhibition in June 2007 in the room "La Paloma" in Madrid. -Collective exhibition from October 16 to 31, 2007 at the AIMA gallery in Madrid. -Collective exhibition from April 16 to 30, 2008 at the Casa de Cantabria in Madrid. -Selected in the XX José Lapayese Art Contest 2018. -Individual exhibition at the Villares del Saz House Museum in 2018. -First prize in the III Painting Contest 2019 of the brotherhood "Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno del Puente" in Cuenca. - Selected work in the LVIII San Isidro Plastic Arts Contest in Madrid 2021. - Selected work in the 40th AEPE 2021 Small Format contest. - First prize in watercolor at the XXXV Painting Contest 2024 of the National Association of Painters Carmen Holgueras. - Work selected for the exhibition of the 43rd AEPE Small Format Competition 2024. |
