Ignacio Macho was born in Seville in 1958, but he moved to Barcelona together with his parents and brothers while still very young.
In this new city he began to work in sign and screen printing companies. His entrepreneurial spirit would lead him years later to found his own graphic arts company (IMAGEN IMPRESA) which he continues to run as a self-employed person for more than 20 years.
This new emerging artist defines himself as self-taught, although his knowledge about the behavior of colors and materials acquired in his professional field has helped him to materialize his work through abstract expressionism clearly inspired by the unmistakable style of the great Jackson. Pollock. Being immersed in his passion gives him that feeling of freedom and enthusiasm that the artist experiences while working and developing his work.
Currently, he intends to launch his work and ideas led by an explosion of inspiration. The combination of colors and contrasts on various surfaces such as canvas, sheets and wood, together with the superposition of line weights and color families, generates an effect of depth and homogeneous volume throughout the image and surface of the painting, resulting in works originals with unique and unrepeatable images, captured on an unreal scale. With his work he intends to disturb the viewer while generating a captivating and magnetic effect, providing vitality and energy to any room where it is exhibited.
