Javier Benitez Toyos was born in Murcia in 1967. He has design studies and work in this sector. Despite having been painting for many years, he has carried out this activity mainly as a hobby, although in recent years he has begun to sell his work with great success. He has been self-taught, dedicating himself especially to oil. He feels influenced by painters like Tamara Lempimcka, Egon Schiele, Munch, Van Gogh, Chagall, Dalí, etc.
He has made different collective and individual exhibitions, among which stands out: "Looks" held at the Cultural Center of the Community of Madrid Francisco Rabal. “MIRADAS 2” in Cafeteria Bar “Tiovivo” in Noviciado C/ Marques de Santa Ana, 2 Collective exhibition 2015. "El Palé" restaurant C/ San Marcos, 28 Chueca Madrid. Individual Exhibition "FEELINGS" from December 2, 2015 to February 2, 2016. "El Palé" restaurant, San Marcos street, 28 Chueca Madrid. Solo Exhibition in restaurant "Arte y Paladar" until April 4, 2016. C/ General Pardiñas, 62, 28001 Madrid Solo Exhibition at Hotel Lusso Infantas in Madrid from March 16 to June 15, 2016. Exhibition in Real Estate Encuentro C/ Cartaya 5 in Móstoles from April 1 to May 31, 2022. Landscapes, flowers, portraits, abstraction are the main themes of his paintings. He calls it "Painting of feelings"; "My source of inspiration is people and their experiences, and why not, my own feelings". |
