Mayra Lituania Montenegro Tapia, originally from Mexico City, stands out as a passionate plastic artist, whose love for the visual arts manifested itself from an early age. Graduated in architecture from the UNAM Faculty of Architecture, her training is complemented with extracurricular courses that cover various disciplines, from perspective and watercolor to portraiture and figurative expression, among others.
Its presence in the world of exhibitions is extensive and diverse, covering both the virtual and in-person spheres. He has contributed to virtual exhibitions in countries such as Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia, Spain, India, Egypt, Italy, France, Turkey and Colombia, exploring artistic themes of great interest. In person, he has participated in different group exhibitions in different private galleries and art groups, both in Mexico City and in several states of the Mexican Republic, as well as collaborating with private galleries and art groups in places as diverse as Mexico City, Puebla, Mexicali, Los Cabos, Peru, Egypt and Uruguay. His most recent individual exhibitions have been in prominent cultural venues in Mexico: La Casa del Torno in the Historic Center of the City of Puebla, where more than 40 watercolors were exhibited under the name "Lo Natural en Acuarela", at the University of Valle de Ecatepec (UNEVE), where he presented 12 works of various techniques under the title "Living Art", at the Municipal Gallery of Atlixco Puebla, with his exhibition: Sintonía de la Natureleza and next in Cholula Puebla with his exhibition: "Entre Velos and Colors " He has experience as a juror at the "Como Gallo Fino" International Salon in Havana, Cuba, for two consecutive years, and has received recognition in different artistic events, including the one awarded for Artistic Career in the Senate of the Republic, presented by the Governor elected of Puebla, Lic. Alejandro Armenta Mier. The work of Lithuania Montenegro stands out for its thematic diversity and its active participation in different artistic scenarios, nationally and internationally. In her own words, being a painter means immersing herself in a world of unique expression that gives her a wonderful opportunity to convey who she is. Montenegro not only creates images, but also offers a connection to the very essence of life through the art of it. |
