INTRODUCTION
Throughout my career I have worked insistently on the subject of nature: I began investigating the interactions of matter using all kinds of substances, textures and objects in a completely abstract way. With the introduction of photography as another element / object of the painting, I incorporated figurative ingredients in my compositions, making the abstraction pass to a more secondary place. In observing the interactions of fluids, semi-solids and solids, I found a pattern that not only appeared in my works but also forms part of nature and life in general. This pattern is that of a forking channel: a branch, a vein, a river, a lightning bolt ... in all these examples the pattern of the idea of "connection" and "transportation" is repeated. Both concepts, connection and transport, inevitably lead to another; that of achieving the “union” between three or more points. In exhibitions prior to 2019 I have studied the image of the tree and more specifically the branch as that pattern of undoubted importance in nature. Trying to show what for me is the most sincere side of the painting (letting the materials show themselves without trying to appear different), I have combined in my paintings words and material structures that made the work carry content. It was this need to respect the nature of the materials that has made textures essential in the lexicon of this language. Textures that do not bend before the need to bring beauty to the painting, but that add reality to the pieces, turning them into objects in themselves. Parallel to my work as a painter I have practiced Yoga for more than twenty years and his philosophy has accompanied my way of thinking (or not thinking), my decisions, my actions, and consequently, the experiences that have derived from all that. I could say that Yoga has taken me by the hand for a long time on a personal level. Having said this, it is easy to understand that in painting, my other great vocation, there is a deep mark that is even more evident in the most recent work. CV Born: 1967 in Malaga, Spain.
