Artist Works
Biography: Born in 1951 in Cabimas, Zulia -Venezuela. A family linked to art ... his mother, a naive painter, and his father, a musician, was practically the school's child painter, making drawings, designs and works for exhibitions. He studied plastic arts in the high school club under the direction of the painter Víctor Vega Ximenez until 1969. In 1971 he entered the School of Philosophy of the University of the University of Student Aesthetics and Philosophy, sharing subjects also in the school of letters of the same university. He will be a disciple of aesthetics of the great master Victor Fuenmayor (Doctorate at Sorbonne 2) and Antonio Perez Esteves (Doctorate in Leuven, Belgium). During his university life, he will attend workshops given by renowned artists. He will graduate in 1978. He will develop his chosen subject on Venezuelan pre-Columbian art, will do more than 100 group exhibitions and 6 individual exhibitions in art centers and universities, He won the EMERIO DARIO LUNAR Prize in 1996, in the Western art meeting sponsored by PETROLEOS DE VENEZUELA has been admitted to different important classrooms, he studied as a specialist in creativity applied to art at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain in 1999-2001, and was named as LIVING CULTURAL HERITAGE by the Ministry of Culture of Venezuela in 2007 The University of Zulia in its Faculty of Arts grants him the Order of Honor "PACO HUNG" in 2014. His work is present in Official collections of Venezuela and in private collections in USA, AUSTRALIA, SPAIN, FRANCE, CHILE, COLOMBIA, ARGENTINA , CUBA and ECUADOR. He is the creator of the Kabima-Kupaiwa Design. Toponym of the hometown and its emblematic tree. He makes his work in acrylics and embroidery and fabrics, in addition to digital art.
