There's this hat, this cup of tea, this letter like trees, etc. Usually I am not a big fan of doing landscape like paintings, but if we talk about surrealism, I most of the time like to do it. Kind of a double feeling.

What I love to do in my surrealism pieces is to combine real with the unreal. Or so to say, imagination, with reality. Optical illusion is often used in the surrealism world, to me it is what surrealism truly is; optical illusion. We see things in ways we probably shouldn't see them. So explaining you this through my title from this painting (60x70cm) is like saying, why not doing something crazy?

Drinking a cup of tea, with ants? With any animal? I imagined people at home with their pats, talking to them while having some tea. That is why the mountains are in a human like shape. I am Dutch, so I like the water, river or ocean, just any. Nature is a big source for my inspiration. So just take a closer look and see what more you can find...
