Flamenco is inexhaustible in its expression, a faithful representation of Art and its connection with the soul. And so great is his strength that I chose to let myself be carried away by his magnetism and undertake this project: Las almas del flamenco. The intimate relationship that I have always maintained with him became the root of learning in my creative process, a wise teacher who has defined the form and concept of my work. Cooked over a slow fire, without fear but with the desperate need to connect with the flamenco soul as a source of inspiration.

This series consists of twenty-two works that aims to capture small moments of the dance, with all its strength and impetus, respecting the intention and the gesture. These works are the result of years of work investigating the transmission of feelings in forms, distilling the creative essence and simplifying the elements to the maximum to concentrate the artistic intention.

Expressive contrast takes on great presence in each work giving as much importance to absolute white as to black, generating a dialogue between intense and subtle, aggressive and soft forms. After an arduous search, the ink came naturally to my creations, flooding everything, becoming the basis of my creative process. She took me to the landscapes of lines, drops and spots that pretend to speak for themselves, but without ceasing to be at the service of the movement of the dance, of its strength. Improvisation is also an important part of creation, making its way to each brushstroke, taking advantage of what is born spontaneously.

The flamenco women represented are anonymous, in order to give all the prominence to the corporal expression, souls reflected in the dance. Frozen moments that seek to absorb the essence of creative freedom that flamenco gives us. Souls that dance, souls that danced and impregnated the heart of Art with their spirit. Beings that may not be there anymore ... but they left the wind of the shawl, the heels and their hands.

The souls of flamenco does not end in this exhibition, it is a series that will go as far as she wants, since the source of flamenco is inexhaustible and feeds on itself. The path is unknown but the objective is certain: to connect with the heart of Art and its Truth.
