Mixed technique on cotton canvas, in a thick frame 4 cm wide. Measurements: 70 x 70 cm.
Abstract expressionism work, representing a beautiful butterfly, called "GEA".
It is the third butterfly in the "Goddesses" series. Gea is goddess of the earth, the mother of all, represented by this beautiful butterfly, with the warm colors of the earth, green and golden tones from the sun. To represent the brilliance of the sun's rays, the butterfly's wings are decorated with gold leaf, causing the light to reflect dramatically when light strikes it.
A mixture of sands, collected personally from the field and different mediums, has been used for its elaboration, giving great texture to the entire composition.
In addition, gold leaf is also applied to the edges, so that the entire work flows in balance and can be displayed on the wall without the need for a frame.
It is shipped ready to be hung on the wall.
