In this piece, I wanted to represent the submission of some women under the norms of their religions. In each of them I wanted to convey the secret of their nonconformity, hiding some part of their physique. The Arab woman conceals her hair, nose and mouth, under a compulsory handkerchief in her traditional attire. The Turkish woman, conceals her hair and half her face, insinuating shyness or disagreement. The Indian woman prevents us from seeing her eyes, closing them so as not to reveal the sadness they conceal.
