Raúl Ranera Prieto. Born in Madrid on January 20, 1950. His love for painting began as a child, in his father's native town, Pastrana (Guadalajara) where at the age of 4 he received his first lessons from the hands of the painter from Almería, Joaquín Yela, in one of the rooms of the Palace of the Princess of Eboli.
1970-1975. He enrolls in the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, also performs monographic courses on painting, sculpture, set design and design. 1975-1990. After finishing his studies, he develops his activity as a decorator combining it with painting, wood and bronze sculpture and collaborating in the restoration of altarpieces. 1990-1992. First trips to Arab countries. 1992-2000. It is established in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). He develops his activity as a decorator and painter, which is why most of his work is in private collections (Riyadh, Beirut, Cairo, Dubai, Rabat ...) and in hotels and banks. During these years he also holds exhibitions of his works in Riyadh, Beirut and Dubai. 2001. He returns to Spain where he continues painting on a private level.
