Summary of the original work
Year: 2017
"My proposal has a language and it is the relation that each image has within the symbol in the composition is based on a national dialogue, where in this opportunity of reinterpretation they converge in a whole and encompass another idea, a conceptual proposal about what is Identity, modifying and provoking the reflection of the spectator "
"My proposal has a language and it is the relation that each image has within the symbol in the composition is based on a national dialogue, where in this opportunity of reinterpretation they converge in a whole and encompass another idea, a conceptual proposal about what is a Identity, modifying and provoking the reflection of the spectator "
This work was carried out in 2016 in the engraving workshops of the ULA School of Art, University of Los Andes. Where I am currently studying the end of the period, to apply for the Bachelor of Visual Arts Visual Communicator degree. This graphic work is a symbol that represents a conceptual way of our Venezuelan cultural identity, social and religious relationship.
It is my proposal as a visual communicator, punctuating an Appropriation visual language, this drawing is a printed illustration, that is influenced in an origin of important subjects, the subject must "mean" something; "Through this fusion, I have tried to call your attention through a playful language, irony and humor."
"Artists are mirrors and our method of communication are images, I am inspired by life and its perverse madness".
Creative process ...
In summary, I work by hand using various media, such as gel pens, acrylic paints, oils, gouache and watercolors, markers. All the works start as a pencil drawing and end depending on the support, canvas, paper or cloth and end up being an independent digital image of the original finished.
My work is aimed at collectors who want to expand their collection and magazines that want to incorporate to "Retro" look, also to the fashion sector, music, art, popular culture magazines, news and advertising.
My pieces are dreamed figurations about the human condition, reinterpretation of a sign plated questions and demand the participation of the receiver, the digital medium is perfect to translate my ideas. Also as well as the serigraphy to bring them to reality as a two-dimensional poiesis.
I like that the observer draw his own conclusions, I try to portray "Juana Kalavera" in a nonconformist way, with the stereotypes imposed by society and in this way distort the conceptions in the popular conscience.
I'm from Yaracuy - San Felipe. Bachelor in Humanities, Student of the Faculty of Visual Arts ULA. I proposed to give meaning and focus to my artistic language; because I am interested in intellectual property and several topics in visual culture, I am developing my research in thesis and the degree project, my proposal contains a very interesting approach in terms of the appropriation of an image to give it another meaning (semiosis) . I am interested in registering my graphic work as a sign to create my brand and patent product, Serigraphy.
