Xavier Cabanach was born in Barcelona, in 1938. Having grown up close to the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, his love for the outdoors grew enormously and from an early age he was fascinated by the images and how the world is represented through the eyes of others. The interest was cultivated since his childhood and was further developed when he obtained his artistic training at the School of Arts and Crafts of Barcelona (Llotja). 1952 - 1962). Later he studied the diploma at the International School of Contemporary Mural Painting of Sant Cugat del Vallés (1964) and the Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona (1988).
Xavier further deepened his pictorial practice, and very soon began to collaborate as a graphic designer in several graphic arts companies and advertising agencies (1954 - 1963). At the same time, his teaching activity allowed him to share his knowledge and train great professionals, as a professor of Art Education at the International University of Catalonia UIC (2001 at 2011). His listed works have always been very present in national and international exhibitions mainly in Spanish, French and Italian galleries. |
