The body is the seed of the project. In it we find different ramifications: the beautiful, perfect, imperfect body, a fragment of it, etc.
But also the absence of it, the trace we leave of the body as a species.
For this reason, I take the concept of the body as the trace of our species, trace or crater as we shall see.

The work we are looking at is an open surreal narrative composed of diorama pieces and flat drawings arranged on a horizontal surface. In addition, the title of the work "Anthropocene" is integrated together with the main work composed of flat drawings that integrate the letters.

The pieces are surreal scenes based on reality, which in a certain way leads the discourse of the work, based on the Anthropocene. Which is a scientific term that focuses on the human being as the protagonist of the last extinction.

However, the faces of man are so multiple and their influence so extensive that we can often observe everyday situations, or scenes prior to future human actions and/or conditioning them.

For now, we can welcome this work as an exaggeration of reality or a dark prediction, although given the current situation it may be the first chapter.

The body not only appears as an identity mark of the human species, the human body is shown as a cause, but also as a victim of itself (deformed/degenerate body).

In a way, we have before us a mirror, but also the possible consequences that we cause or will cause as a species to the world.

This idea of ​​seeing ourselves as cause and victim seems very interesting to me and we not only take the role of Chimera, but we are the only candidate to be Bellerophon.

It should be added to this dichotomy of cause and victim that we are not, per se, victims for the cause, but that the true cause is a nemesis of capitalism, and this is not a villain to use, but is due to the fact of conceiving it as an end and not as a means, which causes or will cause catharsis.

The work consists of 12 pieces composed of flat drawings and dioramas, with mixed media. The theme is the Anthropocene, and the layout of the work is free since they are like puzzle pieces to create narratives depending on the viewer.
