This painting addresses the element of dance to symbolize female empowerment, female union, as well as the sensuality expressed in the gesture of the central figure. Likewise, we find ourselves before a painting in which we witness a certain ritual, something magical in part. The background, which looks like an expanding darkness, is a sample of all that repression that exists against women and their expression. It is a darkness that seems to touch them, but they with their unwrapped movements take it away from themselves, freeing themselves. The work seems to completely absorb you, forcing the viewer to look at each of its parts and reflect on it.
