"Green Gloss" is a work that fuses the past with a contemporary touch. Based on a 20th century photograph, I combine acrylic and oil paint to create a unique visual experience. The title comes from the pearly green glow that is revealed in the background, depending on the angle from which the work is viewed. Although primarily figurative, there are areas of abstraction that add texture and intrigue. Working on a board glued on a frame gives it a robust and elegant physical presence. The walnut stained edge adds a touch of sophistication, making it a piece ready to be displayed as is, capturing attention with its uniqueness and charm.
