Morning light. The peasant, pulling his cavalry, goes to the field to begin the task. The picturesque towns of La Vera still preserve the rural atmosphere with their constructions of mud or mud and interlaced wood, and in the noblest buildings of granite and wood. You can still breathe that leisurely and serene air of a rural world of other times that has almost disappeared. Sunbeds, balconies and bay galleries protect from the sun and rain. Each house is different and unique, far from the uniformity imposed by the invasive concrete architecture that in so many places has replaced its traditional popular architecture.
A good part of my work has wanted to transmit the nostalgia of a past time that, in many people of a certain age, today urbanites, will survive in the memory of their childhood in their hometown.
