It is comparable to the fee we pay for the funeral service, for our peace of mind to be buried with dignity and not be forgotten.

This work refers to the mythology of Charon; Hades' boatman, in charge of guiding the wandering shadows of the recently deceased from one side of the Acheron River to the other, as long as they had an obolus (coin) to pay for the trip. Those who could not pay had to wander for a hundred years along the banks of the Acheron, until Charon agreed to carry them without charge.Description
