"Wait" Project
There are places where, in spite of their great concentration of people, a schematic reading of society through space is not possible; there is no logical correspondence between spatial disposition and social disposition since they are spaces of waiting and transit, of anonymity and solitude. Marc Augé, a French anthropologist called this phenomenon "non-place" in which he affirms that we still continue in modernity, where the culture of individualism, consumption, the acceleration of time, the dissolution between reality and fiction where the idea of ​​a perpetual present is raised thanks to technology, creates illusions and cultural distortions regarding the idea of ​​knowledge and progress.
Through woodcutting, the idea of ​​non-place is metaphorized, through abstractions of objects of torture as moral and systematic punishment, sadism and voyeur, places-objects that can portray the end of a hope, of life and at the same time are scenarios of a macabre spectacle that even today comes to cause morbidity and suggestion, the pain of others as entertainment.
