Biography: Alicia Pérez Jiménez, artistically known as Alicia Renz, was born on September 2, 1993 in Puerto Real, Cádiz (Spain).

From a very young age, the woman from Cádiz was interested in the world of art, especially drawing and painting.

In this way, the young artist began to enter the pictorial universe from the age of 6, thus experimenting with various techniques such as oil, acrylic or gouache.

At the age of 9, thanks to family support, he decided to enroll in an art academy, where he would learn to improve and function with totally new and different techniques such as; pastel, watercolor or egg tempera.

Little by little, Renz began to realize that art went beyond capturing an image and that it meant much more to her.

In this way, Alicia interpreted art as the symbolic language that reflects the ideas, feelings and deepest emotions within the human being.

Thus, the Andalusian began to see art more as a means of communication full of sensitivity and emotions, than simply as a cold "copy" of reality.

In this way and within realism (the artist's favorite style), the painter is interested in the movements of impressionism and expressionism, influenced by the great artists; Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Munch and Schiele.

At the age of 16, supported by her family and some high school teachers who valued the young talent of the painter, Alicia decided to study the artistic baccalaureate at the art school in Cádiz (Spain).

There she would meet other young artists with the same concerns as her and in that place she would promote other artistic styles such as sculpture, engraving, photography or design.

After finishing high school, the painter would leave for the Seville capital to carry out the long-awaited career in Fine Arts.

Due to the weakness that Renz felt for the world of color, he would specialize in painting, including subjects related to it such as; mural painting, pictorial procedures, pictorial discourses or painting strategies among many others.

Upon graduating in this career, Alicia decided to continue training, and interested in the world of teaching, she completed the Master's Degree in Education at the University of Cádiz, with the aim of one day becoming a professor of plastic arts and transmitting to her students the love, affection, sensitivity and the magic of art.

Renz currently combines work with the study of oppositions, as well as the presentation of pictorial exhibitions.

His current style continues to pursue realism, but with a greater influence from Japanese culture, and with the interest of reflecting in these works the elements of light and shadow, transmitting with them a feeling of longing, nostalgia and reflection.
