| Biography: | His work, typical of alternative media, has gone through painting, object art and video performance based on parodic aesthetics about the consumer society in its advertising and corporatist facets. Through the exploration of appropriationist strategies, Álvaro reinterprets pop art by applying it to the territory of consumption and the Mexican popular imaginary to generate an investigation around the class struggle, racial and gender violence in capitalism, aporophobias, as well as merchandise. and shopping dynamics from the Third World, all of this, to finally question the consumerist system from a tragicomic and political perspective, highly inspired by caricatures, humor and irony. |
