Christine began painting in the 1970s and has maintained lifelong interest in painting and drawing. She enjoys using oils and soft pastels, working on a variety of subjects including flowers and landscape. Christine is able to produce small and larger paintings but you have to define preference for the smaller format. She has supported local exhibitions in her home area for many years and began offering paintings on the Internet in the early 2000's. She has sold work to buyers in several countries, including America, Canada and Ireland.
Christine aims to capture the gesture of flowers as well as their color; and how the light plays upon them. Landscape work varies but it is drawn to stormy weather, clouds, atmospheric effects and water. Still life subjects have been tackled more recently also. She switches between oils and pastels for each work, preferring the variety of each medium rather than focusing on just one. Christine lives in England, UK. |
