He was born in Basauri in the year 60, industrial town of Bizkaia in the Basque Country.
Like other artists of his generation, the industrial environment and the nature of Bizkaia, of the Basque Country, have inspired his work. Self-taught is the best quality that defines Iñaki and his work. From a young age he is a great lover of the mountain, in contact with nature and the raw materials it provides. In the 2000, three materials that will be important in Iñaki's artistic career come into contact: stone, iron and wood. Materials with which he works in the rehabilitation of his house, a hamlet located in full mountain, a traditional architecture of the homes of the people of the Basque Country. Together with her, she builds the workshop in which she works and experiments with all these materials. In 2009 he decides to dedicate himself fully to what he really likes, what his passion is, his life. He is registered as a professional artisan of iron and wood in the register of craft companies of Bizkaia. His works are mainly sculptures, some are abstract creations and others have a more functional character, combining the materials and seeking at all times the integration of the work in their environment. In these years in which he is completely dedicated to art and crafts he has participated in different exhibitions and has been awarded in artistic contests: 2010: First prize for sculpture at the XIV Manuel Martinez Bragagnolo Plastic Arts Contest in Majadahonda, Madrid. 2011: Selected in the Miguel Hernández Sculpture Competition, from Orihuela. 2011: Selected at the José Lapayese Bruna de Teruel Plastic Arts Competition. 2011: Participate in the Valorarte Exhibition in the Exhibition Hall of Abando-Bilbao. 2012: Selected at the XIII Small Sculpture Biennial of Martos. 2012: XIV CAJASTUR Prize for Creation Crafts. 2012: Participates in the VIII Edition of Marb Art in the space of the Javier Román Gallery. 2012: Bronze Medal at the VI Valle de los Sueños Sculpture Biennial. Madrid 2013: Participates in the exhibition organized by the Artistic Collective La Salita de Gijón. 2013: Collective exhibition at the Hotel Torroella de Mongri (GIRONA).
