Biography: Iván Del Hoyo Bascuñana (28 of January 1984, Madrid, Spain), better known as Iván MIEDHO, is one of the artists of the current Spanish underground scene. His work focuses on the disciplines of painting, photography and video art.

His most outstanding work is the Art of Somoza collection of paintings, based on the novels of the writer José Carlos Somoza. The Ateneo de Madrid presented this exhibition for the first time in September 2017, curated by Rocío García Beas. Personalities from the world of arts and entertainment also collaborate in this work, among them the prima ballerina of the Spanish National Ballet, Inmaculada Salomón, the actress Amarna Miller and the London group Queenadreena. In the words of José Carlos Somoza: "Wherever Iván's art converges with my own inner world, I have perceived that we are one. I am not looking at myself but at Iván Miedho, his subtle and distorting art, his intangible mystery"

Since his youth he has had a prolific activity winning several prizes in drawing, illustration and video competitions. He has made several collective and individual exhibitions of photography and painting, among which are "I Neosimbolista Hall" in the museum La Corrala or "Doppeltgänger" in the Prince of Asturias center of Madrid and the Complutense University of Madrid with the participation of the vice-dean Nuria Sánchez Madrid. Several articles about his work have been published in national and international art magazines.

The 29 of May of 2010 received the Niram Art award in the photography category. In the same act, the Armenian plastic artist Onik Sahakian, also known as Salvador Dalí's great friend, was awarded the prize to paint. Other winners were Michel Houellebecq and César Antonio Molina. In December of the 2010, he receives a trophy at the Celebrities Gala in Madrid. In the same act, Fernando Savater, Julio Iglesias, Iker Casillas and Don Leandro Alfonso Luis de Borbón Ruiz were awarded.

In January 2013 the book "Miedho: Mind Industrial of Echo and Disorder Hate and Obsessive" was published, written by Héctor Martínez Sanz, Diego Vadillo López and Bogdan Ater. A book that collects several essays on the artist and where he is compared with the Polish artist Zdzislaw Beksinski.

In 2014, the Complutense University of Madrid presents the exhibition Doppeltgänger and the book Courageless, poetic prose written by the artist. Nuria Sánchez Madrid, vice-dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Pedro Ortega Ventureira, doctor and art historian (UAM) and Antonio Fernández García, professor of Fine Arts of the UCM, took part in the event.

In 2015 he collaborates with the actress Amarna Miller and makes a portrait that is part of the series Sex and Woman, a different way of viewing the world of pornography and advertising. The portrait was presented at La Quinta del Sordo and counted on the sponsorship of the Ministry of Culture.

In 2016 he portrays the Catalan artist Rita Martorell Codrech and is part of the Archetype exhibition presented at the CC Los Castillos de Madrid.

In 2017 "Essays on MIEDHO" is published. A book written by Héctor Martínez Sanz about the artist's work and his vision of current postmodern society.

In October of 2017, the Regional Library Joaquin Leguina exposes several works of the artist dedicated to the writer HPLovecraft.

In October of 2017, the Galileo Cultural Center exhibits a work by the artist that he exhibits together with the artists Ouka Leele and Mario Marini in the collective exhibition Cambiodeismo.
