Jesús Joel Alanís Medina, Mexican sculptor and painter. Born on August 29, 1962 at the Hacienda de Monteprieto, Santiago, Nuevo León. In 1978 he took a sculpture workshop with Maestro Jesús Almanza Ríos in Xicoténcatl, Tamps. In 1981 he took a painting course at the National Museum of Cultures in Mexico, DF In 1982 he began his studies in plastic arts at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda", INBA, Mexico, DF He worked as a teacher from the painting workshop of the House of Culture of Santiago, NL Since 1995 it has a workshop-gallery space called "Los Muros", located in the center of Santiago, Nuevo León; where he creates and permanently exhibits his work.
