Self-taught plastic artist from the city of Tingo María. Jorge's work is born from the physicality that his experience in the performing arts gives him, the vitality of the jungle that always seems to accompany him and the raw emotionality with which he approaches the canvas. Jorge Luis began his plastic career in Lima making sculpture, while observing the work of expert artists who modeled eyes, bodies and painted textures. When asked about what brought him closer to the world of the arts, Jorge says that the love letters that his brothers wrote in their adolescence for his lovers and that he accompanied with illustrations were perhaps the earliest sign of his inclination. artistic of him. His rapid skill in anatomy and realism led him to open his own venture “El Monoliso” of hyperrealistic sculptures modeled and 3D printed; through which he has worked with renowned public and private entities. The versatility of his production is due to the sincerity of his character, his rapid response as a discharge to external stimuli that lead him to take these moments and capture them with dynamic fluidity. This is also reflected in the wide range of materials and supports that he uses for his work: such as resins, silicones, recycled wood and oil. Jorge Luis Vicuña seeks to demonstrate the sensitivity, expressions, respect, meaning and dignity of what makes up his environment; Within which he highlights the Amazonian identity of the different human groups whose culture and history are of great interest to him.
