Illustrator and artist, Li Pignataro, grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she studied Apparel and Textile Design at the renowned University of Buenos Aires, receiving important awards and nominations at the Biennial of Young Art, Alpargatas for Young Talents and Lycra Dupont among others . Since the year 2000 lives and works between the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires and the calm and sunny Praia do Rosa, SC, Brazil.
Within an Italian family of tailors and dressmakers, from an early age, she works in the fashion industry as a Haute Couture designer, incorporating her artistic skills into fashion illustration. Fascinated by the bossa nova music and the exuberant Brazilian vegetation, Li, has a particular style in its loose, watery and colorful strokes. Her passion for expressing herself in different creative areas is revealed in her exquisite designs, modern and feminine illustrations, and the development of her new series "Natureza" in unique pieces of hand-made porcelain, demonstrates her continuous dialogue with the fine arts. |
