Mariano E. Rodríguez is a professional photographer, filmmaker, writer, theater director, self-taught painter and graduate in philosophy. He was born in Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina, in 1983. In 1997 he began his studies at AFPER, obtaining the title of professional photographer. He continues his instruction at Una Foto Escuela where he specializes in artistic and advertising photography and ancient processes such as bichrome rubber, Van Dyke, pinhole camera, emulsion composition, black and white and color laboratory, chemical composition of photographic films and papers and System of Zones under the Theories of Ansel Adams. He moved to Buenos Aires where he studied image and color theory at the Argentine School of Photography obtaining the title of Higher Technician in Photography and Image.
In the following years he studied film direction at the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts of the city of Santa Fe, a discipline that he complemented with his training in theater direction at the “Prof. Constancio Carminio School” of Paraná, Entre Ríos. In 2007 she published “La Curva del Muslo”, her first book of poetry. She writes and directs two plays, “The Ideal of the Adversary” and “The Immoral Man.” The staging of the latter took place at the independent theater “La Sonrisa de Beckett”, in the fall of 2010 in Rosario. In 2009 she designed and produced “Bello & Sublime Magazine”, a digital art and culture magazine with productions by local artists (Paraná) among whom we can mention the graphic designers Juan Barbagelata, Fabia Estamatti and Natalia Hallam; the painter Javier Solari and the writer María Elena Barbieri. He also makes experimental short films and worked as a director of photography for auteur film productions. In 2014 he left everything related to photographic and audiovisual production. He begins his university studies and four years later obtains a degree in Philosophy. In the professional field he has participated in group and individual exhibitions in Chile, Cuba, Spain, Paris and Argentina, and his works are part of the Aella Image Center Paris, France; the Ibero-American Photo Library of Cuba, Havana; and the “Los Lavaderos” Image Center, Tenerife. He has participated in conferences on the importance of the image in the media, given by the photographer Elda Harrington, and his productions have illustrated catalogs and photography books, with special mention for the cover of the book “Nudes around the world” by Peter Delius. and Jacek Slaski, published by Bruckmann Verlag, Munich. The author's aesthetics was a stimulus for art critics such as the Spanish Javier Cabrera to write: “The Argentinian Mariano Rodríguez deduces convergent views that focus on the portrait with a kind of subtlety that leads to contemplating equidistant points of the same subject. In Mariano Rodríguez, those portrayed invade the lens in order to establish their differentiation. “Enlightened” characters occupy the focal field and state: “because I distinguish myself from the rest, I am equal to my tribe, because I am…”. In the academic field he published articles on the conception of evil: “The Cosmetics of Evil” and the problem of language: “The limits of Augustine in the world of Wittgenstein” and “Aurea Mediocritas”. He attended the Medieval Philosophy seminars “Religious and Philosophical Conflicts in Late Antiquity” taught by Doctors of Philosophy Juan Carlos Alby, Diego Santos and Pablo Ubierna. BEEF. CD. Likewise, she was a speaker at the “Shakespeare Fundamental” English Literature Conference within the framework of the SEU and Human Rights, approved by Res. 1319/2016 FHAYCS, where she presented the translation and study of the poem Paracelsus by Robert Browning, published in 1835 . |
