Alberto Fernández Abal (London 1972). I live in Lugo and Ourense and I am a self-taught painter, since drawing and painting have always been with me since school time. After joining the labor market (administration), I return to 2004 my hobby, encouraged by people close to me and I begin to exhibit in various places.
TECHNIQUE AND STYLE: I work, above all, in oil, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, chalk, chalk, etc. My specialty in oil and acrylic is the human figure and animals (especially dogs and horses). With the graphite I focus more on the portrait, both natural and based on photography. As for the style itself, which I call "Poligonismo", there is a strong inspiration in cubism (especially of Juan Gris) but away from the distortions and disproportions of it. TRAJECTORY: I participate in several posters design competitions in Lugo (Entroido, San Froilán), of painting (Cultural Area of El Corte Inglés). A work to highlight in the publishing field is the creation of the cover of "A Choiva do mundo", Xosé Manuel Pacho Blanco, Ed. Xerais (Torrente Ballester 2007 Award) In May 2011 he contributed to the permanent exhibition of the Assembly Hall of the IES “Muralla Romana” in Lugo with his own work ("Battle Horse") EXHIBITIONS: 1ª exhibition of a varied theme (without title) April 2010.
