Biography: BIOGRAPHY
Rodrigo López Argüello (Rolo) San Salvador, El Salvador 1979
After graduating from the American School of El Salvador, he studied theater and plastic arts at Carroll University, Wisconsin (United States). He holds a degree in Public Relations and Marketing from Loyola University, New Orleans (United States).
His work experience of 5 years at Sherwin-Williams in Central America allowed him to study color theory, adequate preparation of surfaces and experiment with different chemical components to achieve what he now calls "experimentation with fundamentals", creating works of art using paint and non-conventional materials.
Rolo has participated in several collective and individual exhibitions in: El Salvador (Suggestion of the committee for SUMARTE 2017 and 2018 (Both works auctioned), Forma Museum, 123 Gallery, Luis Poma Theater, Auction for the League Against Cancer, YPO Event "Secret Garden ", Palacio Tecleño (Honorable Mention in the Sixth Hall of Abstract Art), Inspirations of the Soul Project of Banco Davivienda and Volunteers for Art" VOLARTE ", Il Bongustaio (Duet with artist Boris Ciudad Real), at the opening of the Salón of the Watercolor "Armando Solís", University of El Salvador, in Guatemala (Artist selected for Art in May 2017, 2018, for the collective exhibition "10 x 10" and "Art in the Streets" of the Foundation and Rozas Botrán Gallery) , in Costa Rica (Artist selected for the event "Watercolor Tropical" of the International Watercolor Society, collective exhibition in Gallery Sofia Wanamaker), in Panama (Galeri to Cirici) and the US (Carroll Arts Department).
His works are part of numerous private collections in Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Toronto, Mexico City, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Bogota, Vienna and Singapore.
