Biography: With a career of more than 50 years as a photographer in the most diverse branches, my photos are in multiple establishments from murals in hotels to posters in hospitality, children's portraits, food photography, etc. My first decades were marked by the passion for capturing the What client wanted, I never reserved anything for my personal collection. The little I had, unfortunately, I lost in a house move.
About 10 years ago I decided to start capturing images for my own enjoyment, which I now have the pleasure of presenting to you. When creating them, my only objective has been to ensure that when looking at them something pleasant is perceived, whether due to the motif, the composition or the color treatment.
Although I am not always completely satisfied with what I do, I stop manipulating them when I consider that I can no longer extract more from the image, sometimes I let them rest for a while, and when I return to them, I am able to see them with new eyes and give them my approval.
Throughout my professional career, I have witnessed the evolution of photography, from wooden studio cameras with glass plates to the most recent versions of Photoshop. I have always enjoyed the process of manipulation, from working with negatives to editing digital files.
My current approach is to take an image that catches my eye and transform it into something visually pleasing and emotionally moving.
I lean towards saturated and harmonious colors that are pleasing to the eye.
Each of my works is framed with a mat, which I consider essential to highlight its beauty, it varies depending on the color and size according to my criteria. Additionally, I set a minimum print size, seeking to faithfully reflect my original vision, knowing that in many cases, a larger version would enhance its impact.
Although I have kept my work private until now, I have the ability to print on a variety of materials and sizes, including canvas. I own around 200 individual works, and also thematic series. I have cataloged them in numbered series of 5 to 30 units.
Each image is digitally signed on the front and hand-signed on the back, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity detailing all relevant details of the work, including my signature.
