Plastic and Visual Artist
From a young age he attends painting workshops but it is the perseverance that makes him become a painter, acquiring a refined technique of his own. For years he feels trapped by the environment and the history of the place where he lives, his fabrics reflect that; the people, the colors and the present. His first solo exhibition comes from the hand of the Regional Institute of Fine Arts in 1988 followed by more than thirty. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions making his paintings are in private and public collections of the five continents. Eleven museums in Mexico and abroad have his work highlighted: the Museum of Contemporary Art. Mexico., The Pinacoteca of the Arts Center. Mexico, the Javier de la Rosa Museum, (Spain), and the Naval Historical Museum, (Veracruz), Etc. In 1998, one of his works obtains his first prize. since then, he has obtained seven first places, different honorable mentions as well as different recognitions and selections. "Today my relationship with painting occurs in a visual scenario of gestural and deconstructive type, where light is the watershed that starts the human figure to integrate them into a single motif, this makes all my work suggestive, placing it in the line between expressionism and pop figuration ". |
